School Mental Health Ontario (SMHO) has been working to create resources and guides for both students and educators to better equip them to deal with mental health in academic institutions. They provide many useful resource guides and training modules about best practices for mental health in schools. They form these modules through an evidence-based and student-centred lens by collaborating with various stakeholders at each level in the school system. The resources and services offered by SMHO focus not only on working to eliminate stigma around mental health but also provide scalable, sustainable, accessible and inclusive ways to integrate mental health and wellness frameworks into everyday classroom culture.
All of their resources aim to be practical and applicable. From students to teachers, from administrative staff to members of school boards and parents, everyone can access resources on the SMHO website!
