#TBT: When You Click Agree

In today’s technology-driven world, social media has become an integral part of our daily lives. It can be a great space to connect and share pictures with friends and family, and view content related to our interests and hobbies. While there can be great things about social media, it is very important to be aware of our rights and the things we can do to protect ourselves and our information.

In particular, when we sign up to these social media platforms, it can be very easy to agree to the Terms and Conditions without fully reading through them. We all know how tempting it can be to quickly click “I agree” to access the platform’s features. However, by doing so, we may be giving it access to our personal data and information without fully understanding the implications.

When You Click Agree is a youth-led digital rights awareness campaign that was co-designed with a group of young people living in London, ON. The campaign’s goal is to help young people make informed decisions and use social media safely. The youth created a poster with the top 10 things young people should know before agreeing to the terms and conditions. Check out the poster and youth team behind this initiative!

mindyourmind has been around for almost two decades, and we have pretty neat stuff in our history. The idea of Throwback Thursdays (#TBT) started because we want to share this past content and some memorable moments too. When it comes to the mental health landscape, some things have stayed the same, while others continue to evolve.

Stay tuned for our next #TBT!
