This summer mindyourmind had the opportunity to partner with Western University’s Careers and Experience program to host a volunteering event for SHAD students. SHAD is a month-long program for grade 10 and 11 students in Canada that involves pan-Canadian classrooms with university level STEAM and entrepreneurship content and access to mentors. Their theme this year was around the topic of wellbeing, which ties in perfectly with what we do at mindyourmind. We spent an afternoon talking about mental health, wellness, and self care, and engaged in some interactive activities. One of those activities asked that the students write out some mental health or wellness related tips. These graphics display what they came up with!
